How to choose a wholesale clothing supplier you can trust

by Echipa StockHouse

The wholesale market is full of offers, and not all of them are what they seem. Before you send money to a supplier you've never met, check a few simple things.

Is the company real and registered? A serious wholesaler shows its tax details and can be verified in the official business register. Wholesale means selling business to business, with an invoice and a VAT number — a supplier that hides who it is or only takes cash should worry you. At StockHouse we verify your VAT number when you register, and you're welcome to verify us in return.

Is the pricing transparent? You should see the wholesale price per piece and, where it applies, per kilo, with no hidden costs. A supplier that won't tell you the price until you've paid is a red flag. Ask about the minimum order quantity too — it's the first filter for whether a supplier fits a small shop or only large buyers.

Is the stock genuine? Brand-new, with the original tags, no defects. Ask for real photos of the actual lot, not stock images, before you order. Real outlet and surplus stock is new — it simply didn't sell in time — not customer returns or second-hand mixed in.

Do they ship where you are? If you're outside the supplier's home country, check delivery times and courier coverage before you commit. StockHouse ships across Romania and the EU, so a shop in Bulgaria, Greece or Hungary orders the same way a Romanian one does.

The short version: a supplier worth working with is easy to verify, clear about price, honest about what's in the lot, and reachable when you have a question. Register your company, we check your VAT number, and you see the wholesale prices across the whole catalogue.
